This chapter quotes the texts, gives the dates, and is explicit about the documents we could not read. ## 5.1 Method, because it matters here more than anywhere Everything below was read on the platform's own page on 14 September 2026, and the exact wording is reproduced rather than summarised. Where a document is served only to a browser running scripts, so that its text cannot be read from the source, we say so and do not characterise its contents. That is not a formality: the single most quoted rule in this industry lives in exactly such a document. ## 5.2 OnlyFans on someone else running the account This is the clause that decides how agency work sits with the platform. It is in the Terms of Use, under the general terms on content: > "You are legally responsible for all Content you Upload. If you are a Creator and someone else assists you with the operation of your Creator account, this does not affect your legal responsibility. Our relationship is with you, and not with any third-party, and you will be legally responsible for ensuring that all Content posted and all use of your account complies with the Terms of Service." > OnlyFans, Terms of Use, last updated August 2024, read 14 September 2026 [1] Read it carefully, because it does two things and not a third. It acknowledges that someone else may assist with the operation of an account. It places the entire legal responsibility on the creator anyway. It does not authorise, licence, certify or forbid the arrangement. We searched the full text of the Terms of Use and of the Contract between Fan and Creator on 14 September 2026: the words agency, manager, management and OFM do not appear in either [1] [2]. There is no agency programme to join and no approval to obtain. ## 5.3 The AI chat rule: a chronology, with dates The sentence quoted everywhere, that you cannot use an AI chatbot to write messages on OnlyFans, has a history. The clearest published chronology is an investigation by OnlyChatAI, itself a vendor in this market, published and last verified 13 September 2026. The quotations in the last two rows are that source's quotations of OnlyFans help content, not our own reading of the help centre, for the reason given in 5.4. The investigation's central claim is that the prohibition never appeared in the Terms of Use, the Acceptable Use Policy or the Fan and Creator contract across archived captures from February 2022 to August 2026, and that it existed only in the help centre. We can confirm one half of that independently. ## 5.4 What we checked ourselves, and what we could not On 14 September 2026 we read the full text of the OnlyFans Terms of Use and searched it. The words chatbot, automated, bot as a standalone word, crawler, spider and scrape return no occurrences. The only substantive occurrence of AI is a labelling rule: > "AI Generated Content: AI Generated content must comply with our Terms of Service and must be clearly and conspicuously captioned as AI Generated Content with a signifier such as #ai, or #AIGenerated." > OnlyFans, Terms of Use, transparency requirements, read 14 September 2026 [1] The Contract between Fan and Creator contains nothing about AI or bots either; the only occurrence of the root automat is in "automatic renewal payments" [2]. So, for those two documents, the position is: no rule on AI chat, one rule on labelling AI generated content. > **Not verified** > The Acceptable Use Policy and the Community Guidelines could not be read. Both are served as an empty page to anything that does not execute scripts, and no rendered archive copy was found. We therefore do not know, from the source, what they currently say about AI, bots or automation. Since the help centre is precisely where the AI chat answer lives, this is the one gap in this chapter that matters, and we would rather print the gap than guess at it. The Terms of Use name both documents as binding parts of the agreement, so they are not optional reading, they are simply unreadable by us. ## 5.5 Telegram: what the platform officially supports Telegram is the opposite case. Where OnlyFans has no public interface and publishes nothing that authorises automation, Telegram publishes the mechanisms itself, with documentation and an announcement date. - **Stars are the official payment rail.** Telegram defines them as "virtual items that allow users to purchase digital goods and services from bots and mini apps inside the Telegram ecosystem" [4], and requires them: its developer FAQ answers the question of accepting cryptocurrency instead with one word, "No" [5]. - **A bot may answer a person's messages.** Announced on 31 March 2024: "Business users can connect Telegram bots that will process and answer messages on their behalf. This allows businesses to seamlessly integrate any existing tools and workflows, or add AI assistants that manage their chats." [7] The developer documentation repeats it, and notes that connected bots are available to non-Premium users [8]. - **The operator carries the disputes.** "You as the bot owner have full responsibility in case any conflicts or disputes arise. You must be prepared to correctly process disputes and chargebacks." [5] Telegram also states that it "doesn't maintain any such bots and doesn't endorse any of the third-party bots offering these services". - **Sales are final.** "All sales of Telegram Stars are final and Telegram does not issue refunds for unwanted or unintentional purchases of Stars." [4] Stars earned by a bot are "valid for 3 years from the date they were received" [6]. ## 5.6 Telegram's limits, quoted Telegram's restrictions exist, they are just narrower than people expect. We searched the Bot Platform Developer Terms of Service and the Content Creator Rewards terms in full on 14 September 2026: the words adult, porn, sexual, nudity and obscene return no occurrences in either [6]. The only adult content rule Telegram publishes is in the main Terms of Service, where users agree not to "post illegal pornographic content on publicly viewable Telegram channels, bots, etc." [9] The load bearing words there are illegal and publicly viewable. The rules that do bite an operator are elsewhere in the developer terms: a bot "must not harass or spam users with unsolicited messages"; it must not impersonate Telegram or any entity that did not authorise it; and it "must not attempt to circumvent or otherwise undermine Telegram rate limits and moderation" [6]. There is also an explicit data rule that anyone building on conversation history should read: always prohibited uses include "any form of data collection aimed at creating large datasets, machine learning models and AI products", while data submitted directly and voluntarily by users may be used "provided that you clearly inform them of the data's intended use and they give their individual, explicit, active and revocable consent" [6]. ## 5.7 How to read all of this Three practical conclusions, and one thing this handbook will never write. First, on OnlyFans the responsibility question is settled and the automation question is not. The creator is responsible for everything sent from her account, whoever or whatever sent it. That is published, current, and unambiguous. Second, the famous prohibition is a help centre answer, and help centre answers change. The wording was different in January 2026 from what it is now. If your business depends on the exact text, read it yourself, dated, and keep the capture; do not rely on a quote in a blog post, including this one. Third, Telegram documents and supports the thing that OnlyFans does not: a bot answering a person's messages, an official payment rail, and a published rate. That asymmetry, not marketing, is why so many operations now run a Telegram leg. No such status exists to be granted. Any vendor page that claims it is describing something the platform has never published.
